Creating my own Destiny.

When I started this venture at the end of 2016, I could not have imagined how many challenges the next 2 years would throw at me. I know we all do this, starting out with high hopes and enthusiasm, and then life just gets in the way and we lose our focus.

Well, that's been the last 2 years for me. With a bit of job insecurity and a bit of anxiety about "what will I do if ...", I knew I needed a backup and I need to follow through on it. Then I moved twice in 2018 (not recommended!) and every bit of extra energy became about looking for a place to live, or packing boxes, or unpacking boxes, or searching for the packed things that I had no idea where they were! We also dealt with a lot of medical issues and finally had to say goodbye to our beloved 14 year old dog Elmo.

But here we are in a fresh new year, with new hopes and dreams. For years I've been setting a theme for the year rather than New Year's resolutions. It's a good way to gather up multiple goals under one umbrella and stay focused on where you want to be headed. This year my theme is "Create Your Own Destiny", with my main focus on getting this business thriving, pursuing many interesting creative projects, and sharing my love of sewing with more people!

I hope that some of you will join me this year on a life changing creative journey. So here we are, and here we go! As The Doctor would say, "Watch us run!"
